:There's no separate Chinese regionbox template in the infobox, all Asian serials go to the NTSC-J regionbox (so no separate Taiwanese+Chinese). A separate template is relatively easy to add, but I'd advise against it for two reasons: (1) there aren't too many PS2 game titles with Traditional Chinese support to warrant its own regionbox (correct me if I'm wrong here) and (2) We could also add many more regions like Australia (different but compatible PAL type), Korea (NTSC-K), Brazil (PAL-M), even some European countries (like PAL-G, etc.), this would make it a fine mess. The current system is simple: North America (NTSC-U), Asia (NTSC-J) and the rest of the world (PAL), I'd like to keep it that way.

:Nevertheless, we can correct region box caption to address your concerns, so instead of "Region: NTSC-J" it would say "Region: NTSC-J/C/K" or "Region: NTSC (Asia)". Each serial can have a note (like this Korean only title has notes "(Korea)"). What say you? --Ngng (talk) 19:43, 30 August 2020 (UTC)

::I suggest only separating NTSC-C out from NTSC-J, and keep others like you said. The main reason the actual region-lock implemented on PS2 console. i.e. An NTSC-J machine cannot play NTSC-C games, vice versa.
::By the way, actually my discussion is more focusing on the language (those country flags) displayed in the infobox, since Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese usually are more considered as different languages. Some games provided only Simplified Chinese version, some games provided both. What do you think? :) SiuMing (talk) 09:34, 1 September 2020 (UTC)
:I don't see how adding a Traditional Chinese language flag icon could be a problem from any perspective. Should I add the flag of Taiwan for this? I, however, will not be able to correct existing articles because of the scarcity of information, my main source for the languages is redump and it doesn't have a lot of Asian discs, so if you can correct at least some articles, please do.
::Sure, I can help on this part after adding the flag for Traditional Chinese. I think either Taiwan flag / Hong Kong flag or a mix of them will do. SiuMing (talk) 15:23, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
:As for isolating NTSC-C to its own regionbox (despite a region-lock), I still don't see a necessity. There are only so many games in this region, and regionboxes do not have to follow Sony's footsteps. As I said before, I can alter the name to be more descriptive to avoid confusion. --Ngng (talk) 18:48, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
:: I am okay to keep the current design. My main suggestion is the language (flag) part only indeed. But I believe it is always a good idea if the name is altered for avoiding confusion :) SiuMing (talk) 15:23, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
:Done and done. I added Taiwan flag if you want to mix it with HK flag, it's all yours. I also updated every game that had Chinese flag to have the Mainland China flag. In all probability, SLAJ/SCAJ serials are Taiwan/HK related and SCCS are simplified Chinese versions, but there are a number of totally different cases. If you have any questions, please holler! --Ngng (talk) 16:54, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

Dropdown styles.
I don't want the Wiki to have testcases like this:
https://i.imgur.com/996Cbc8.png
It's a problem when people put it in the comments section, which is why the dropdown sections exist. Unfortunately the button being ugly is sad, but not a reason to completely remove the section.
As an alternative solution, I've looked into different ways of adding the settings dropdown menu.

Method 2 is the cleanest looking one to me, it has no button nor any borders, while still maintaining a clean looking setup. -- Ryudo (talk) 09:42, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
:"I don't want the Wiki to have testcases like this: https://i.imgur.com/996Cbc8.png" -- Me neither, that's why I added a note about walls of text. Besides even this example looks better than a lot of text in the narrow "Graphics" column (which is encouraged now by the "How to contribute" article). I'm committed NOT to remove/alter current and future test entries containing those buttons, you seem to like, I just don't want to encourage people to use them. Let's keep my revision and see what will happen. If the walls of text will become bigger and messier than it will be an indication to alter the article again. Deal? --Ngng (talk) 10:35, 31 August 2020 (UTC)

:Thank you! I'm just a bit overprotective when it comes to accepting nomenclature changes, I always try to verify it. It's not the first time though that the Internet is wrong, and probably will not be the last. :\ --Ngng (talk) 18:01, 6 September 2020 (UTC)

Can I get upload privileges? Screenshots here are usually very old and showing broken versions of games that now look fine. I'd like to contribute some nicer screenshots :) --CynicMimic

How did you get information on the contents of various Dengeki Playstation discs?
I was trying to find information on the contents of various Dengeki Playstation discs, and noticed the wiki had a few entries that actually listed which games received special playable demos or movies. Where did you find this information? Did you get it from a list somewhere, or did you actually play through these discs yourself to get the information?
: Hello! I don't own many of PS2 disks, all of the information is collected and (sometimes) cross-referenced from the Internet, or contributed by the users who actually may have disks. As for Dengeki disks, I always (frequently) list my references in a page history. For instance if you look in the page history for Dengeki PlayStation D91, you'll find a link to this article. --Ngng (talk) 06:48, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
Question over automatic fixes
Just wondering your thoughts on the issues listed on the wiki that automatic fixes have solved? For example, Ape Escape 3 has most of its issues listed fixed by automatic fixes, just curious if you would consider that a 'solved issue' or not. Im just debating with myself whether its really considered solved or not, the user wont encounter the issues as long as they dont mess with anything, but they're still present without the automatic workarounds. Thanks. Optim (talk)
:Howdy! I think we have no choice but to mark such issues as fixed. PS2 is a pretty complex hardware to emulate owning to different floating point arithmetic, multicore sync and many other aspects of the console. It's unlikely imo that PS2 hardware will ever be emulated perfectly. The patching job that developers are doing with automatic fixes is in a way an attempt to approximate to a real hardware when they can't do it by the means of perfect emulation. So, yeah. In my opinion, if the game's working out of the box, we should mark it as playable. --Ngng (talk) 05:46, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
::Gotcha, makes perfect sense, thanks! :) --Optim (talk) 08:02, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
Asking for confirmation code?
Forgot to put in my username on my submission and left in the person's I'd copied and pasted the template to the Black and Bruised page.
It's the first time I'd added anything, and because the person's username in the template I'd copied and pasted was so generic, I didn't realise that was the username field and only realised after.
now when I try and edit it it's asking for a confirmation code. any advice? Bobby2Kills (talk) 16:17, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
: Hi! Your confirmation code is probably just a mean Captcha we use here. Without this Captcha spambots could do a lot of damage to the wiki, that's why we require at least one meaningful edit from a new user to remove the "feature" from his account. Try editing now, it should be good...
: p.s. General-Plot is a real person, though. --Ngng (talk) 05:31, 9 June 2022 (UTC)

About your comment on the Klonoa 2 article
Hi! I saw your edit comment on the Klonoa 2 article. I would have preferred to upload the video clips directly on the wiki instead, but unfortunately the upload page only supports formats "gif, jpg, jpeg, webp, ico". I asked about video uploads on the forum, but did not receive an answer. I also do not want to convert the videos to GIFs since that’s simply an inferior format, as they are of poorer quality, and take up a lot more space than a video of an “equivalent” quality. This is problematic since the size limit for file uploads is only 2 MB. I thought Imgur links was the best alternative solution since it’s a well-known service unlikely to disappear any time soon and their links don’t expire (they only disappear if the poster deletes them, if they have illegal material, or if someone submits a DMCA notice of content they own). If you have better suggestions for the video clips, I’m all ears. :)
I also agree that the Fandom links are questionable, but I decided to add them because I doubt most people know the enemy names, and the links allow readers to quickly check what it’s actually referencing. (It’s also convenient to refer to the enemies with the names rather than explain them in each case).
--ルーナティアのロロ (talk) 21:30, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
:Howdy! Please don't take my comments too seriously. If imgur links will persist, then it's okay to use them; it was just my observation. To upload video to the wiki we need to install a video extension (like this one). It just never seemed like a priority. Should I ask Bositman if he's okay with installing it (implies more storage space and a bit more traffic)? --Ngng (talk) 06:50, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
::The Imgur video links are already there and are just one click away, so I don’t think there is a great need to do it only for that article specifically. However, I am definitely not opposed to adding such an extension since it might prove useful for other users and articles in the future. --ルーナティアのロロ (talk) 18:29, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
Why can't we delete useless reviews?
Hi, I never deleted anything useful. I always deleted incomplete/useless posts that never gave any configuration to run a game perfectly, sometimes those posts say a game runs 200% faster like if they didnt have any problems (which is a lie if you check the reports that are usually written above/below these posts) or when they dont even post the specs of their computers/games/windows version. Also, i fixed the writing of several descriptions of the games that had typos/bad writing in several places (Why revert this? There is no reason for that). July 15, 2023.
:Every test case is somewhat useful, even the old and incomplete ones and each new revision can break something. A game that worked fine a year ago can have multiple problems now. You can't assume that the older revisions had fewer problems with a certain title. Besides every test case is just an opinion, one person can ignore a lot of small artifacts and another feels that the game is unplayable. I undid all your changes in affected pages because I didn't feel like copying changes by hand for so many articles, I wasn't sure if you will answer. Sorry. Thank your for you grammar fixes they are always appreciated, and please reapply them if you feel like it. But removing other people's contributions is not a great way to contribute. --Ngng (talk) 15:19, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply, i dont agree with you (the review written by machina here is a good reason for this since it doesnt say much about the game https://wiki.pcsx2.net/Onimusha_3:_Demon_Siege) but i wont remove/fix anything anymore. I'll only add my reviews to help those with weak computers like me since this wont cause problems.

Hi there, we were informed that you were no longer that interested in maintaining the wiki.
Because of such, we asked for some help, specifically from TheTechnician27, who on discord appeared to have some knowledge about managing mediawiki.
I can't help but notice you deleted major portion of the work they did. One of the concerns was the fact that copyrighted game descriptions that we don't have the permission to use were present here.
Are you still interested in maintaining the wiki and have you spoken to TheTechnician27 about the work that was done so far? It's a little bit of a slap in the face to revert ongoing changes.
Cheers, Fobes.
:Hello!
:"Hi there, we were informed that you were no longer that interested in maintaining the wiki." -- I'm weary of it, yes. Who would inform you about it though? Someone is reading my thoughts (oh, my)?!
:"I can't help but notice you deleted major portion of the work they did. One of the concerns was the fact that copyrighted game descriptions that we don't have the permission to use were present here." -- These ads and descriptions were here for more than 10 years now, so are the boxarts (most of them are not scanned but downloaded from different sources on the internet). Do you want to remove all the description and replace them with AI generated 3 sentences from Wikipedia and replace all boxarts with small XBOX ones also from Wikipedia? If you do, I'm against it.
:If TheTechnician27 wants to help with the wiki (and/or maintain it) I'm all for it, but he could speak for himself probably. --Ngng (talk) 06:50, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
::Hi, Ng, I posted a reply on my talk page. Hopefully that suffices, since a glitch prevented me from posting earlier. TheTechnician27 (talk) 13:09, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
