Europe v02.20(10/02/2006), INTC Spin Detection, Wait for Loop, mVU Flag Hack, MTVU Multi Threaded microVU1, EE Cyclerate 2, VU Cycle Stealing 1, Game plays fine on every track. Smooth gameplay, with minor FPS drops, that could occur. For full speed use 60FPS for PAL system in GS settings (hack it via ini file). HOWEVER, it plays correctly (with visible menus) only in software mode, which still makes it playable. | |

BIOS: USA 2.30, Game runs ok, but is pretty laggy even with my specs. There's a pretty serious issue with graphics in Hardware Mode, so it's recommended to play this in Software Mode instead. (See Known Issues) | Ryudo |
Trivia
- The game is notable for being one of the first PlayStation 2 games that had an online play feature.
Known Issues
Menus not showing up at the end of a race in Hardware Mode.
- Status: Active
- Type: Major
- Description: This is actually somewhat gamebreaking in GSdx Hardware Mode. Basically after you finish a race, you get a bunch of Menus, but these are not visible in GSdx Hardware Mode. This basically prevents you from moving on until you switch to Software Mode. (Or you get lucky pressing random buttons..... but there's a bunch of Menus you have to pass after each race).
- Workaround: Switch to Software Mode by pressing F9 to temporarily view the Menus, or play in Software Mode the entire time to never run into this issue.
