Game description: The next installment in the Need for Speed: Underground series takes you to a free-roaming city comprised of five neighborhoods. As you explore the city, you'll encounter rival racers who will show you all the hot spots in underground racing. After each race, you can improve your car's performance with various upgrades, ranging from the gear ratio to the suspension. The game includes more than 30 tuner cars from a variety of manufacturers, such as Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota, and more. You can even challenge racers from around the world in the game's online mode.
The game is based around tuning cars for street races, resuming the Need for Speed: Underground storyline. Need for Speed: Underground 2 provides several new features, such as a broader customization, new methods of selecting races, the "explore" mode (just driving around freely, like the Midnight Club series, in a large city known as "Bayview").
Underground 2 also introduces SUVs to the Need for Speed franchise, which could be customized as extensively as any other vehicls and are used to race against other SUV racers.

Patches not required now. You will need to use skip draw = 1 to make it playable in gsdx HW mode. Some effects seems to be missing/messed up but doesn't effect gameplay.

Europe v02.00(14/06/2004), Recommended + MTVU, Automatic Game Fixes, You need set skipdraw to 1, otherwise you'll get 5-10 FPS in-game. Enabling 8-bit textures increases speed by 5 FPS. With it and recommended speedhacks I get 40-50 FPS in-game. The only way to get constant full speed is to crank up VU Cycle Stealing to the max but this will cause slight sound crackling. Some special effects appear incorrectly.
