::Well, I'm against the open-proxy blocking - this could possibly block a lot of users, especially in countries that only use one/few IPs (such as in the middle-east). And, like mentioned in the article, spammers could log in on a non-proxy, and then switch over to a proxy (it does not block logged-in users). What I would be in favor of is putting in some sort of captcha in combination of blocking users from creating articles until a certain amount of edits are made (five should do) and see where we go from there.
