Game description: The player traverses across different areas of a space colony orbiting Jupiter to defeat rogue Orbital Frames, using the advanced Frame Jehuty. It is equipped with an energy sword, an energy projectile, and various sub-weapons. As the player progresses, Jehuty's arsenal grows and its abilities expand.
Zone of the Enders follows the endeavors of a boy named Leo Stenbuck, a colonist from the Jupiter colony Antilia under attack by BAHRAM. At the beginning of the game, he is captured and escapes when BAHRAM forces attack and his friends are killed by a falling LEV. He flees to a hangar, where he finds an Orbital Frame by the name of 'Jehuty' (derived from the Egyptian God Djehuti). Using this suit and its built-in AI ADA, he fends off BAHRAM, who seek to claim it on the orders of their enigmatic leader Nohman.
A sequel, Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner, was released in 2003, also for PlayStation 2.

Test configuration on Windows:

PCSX2 version: v1.1.0 r5423
Graphics by GSdx: r5412
Sound by SPU2-X: v2.0.0 r5421
Pad plugin is LilyPad: v0.11.0 r5403
DVD plugin is cdvdGigaherz: v0.8.0 r5103

Comments: Use Bob tff to solve the shaking screen. Set the Interlace mode to Auto in GSdx.
Hack comments: Recommended speedhacks enabled. MTVU on. Automatic game fixes on. (compatibility is 5 in the game database in r5423)

Test configuration on Linux:

PCSX2 version: untested
Graphics by ZZogl: untested
Sound by SPU2-X: untested

PC specs used to test the game:

CPU: Intel i5 2500K @3300Mhz
GPU: GeForce GTX 460 SE 768MB

Comments: 50-60FPS. Mostly GS plugin slowdown, VU cycle stealing (set to 2) helps sometimes but is smoother without it. MTVU helps!
Also the game can run faster in software mode if you have a good CPU. The game is very heavy on resources. Hardware mode 50% CPU, software mode around 70% CPU. Good GPU is also a big plus.
