|Comments=Runs at full speed on Software mode, but has severe framerate drops when the player is hit by a spell or when certain spells with a high polygon count are used. Hardware mode lags badly on menus, but during gameplay runs at around 50 FPS and has much less severe framerate drops. The Japanese version of the game often has lower framerates due to the comic book-style cutouts that appear on the screen during battle (A feature exclusive to the Japanese version). On Hardware mode, certain spells have a glowing effect that normally can't be seen on Software mode nor when played on the console. Despite lagging problems, both the U.S. and Japanese games run near perfectly. All speedhacks are able to either make the game run faster or have no effect. VU Cycle Stealing causes choppy framerate but still makes it run faster.

Direct3D9 (HW) has severe issues with polygon clipping. Upscaling also causes lines to appear in menu textures. Despite lagging problems, both versions run near perfectly. None of the speedhacks slow down or cause glitches.  No particular differences between PCSX2 1.2.1, 1.4.0, or 1.5.0.
