Rally Evolved is a significant updates to the series. A notable change is the "random event" engine in the game, which creates random hazards which the player must navigate as they drive the course. These random events can be anything from rockfalls from cliffs above, animals on the track or even rivers or pipes spilling water on the road surface, making it slippery. However, some random events are an advantage to the player - other (AI) drivers are on the course (although this is rare as this is not a common occurrence in the real WRC), and the player can pass them (thus beating them on the course).

Game description: Taste the physical extremes of rally driving and battle your way past your opponents in grueling multi-car wheel-to-wheel racing. Prepare for the unexpected as driver and co-driver negotiate on-track dangers - evade the wreckage of rival cars, navigate through flooded stages, and dodge crumbling walls and tumbling rocks. More cars than ever before from rally's past, present and future are brought to life in realistically interactive surroundings - drive over 40 awesome vehicles through rivers, raging fires, dense smoke and debris strewn terrain.

Europe v01.70(27/02/2003), XGKick Gamefix - Auto Gamefixes, Works fine now with no SPS following the XGKick gamefix change in r5608. Runs at a reasonable speed without any noticable issues., Requires full boot else you get TLB miss errors due to language information being taken from the BIOS. Still requires patch to rearrange opcodes as branch delay slots are not adequately handled on the EE.
