:Regarding I/P, you could try to simplify a little (i.e. remove the sun (or don't), and try make the interlace effect more recognizable, like in a movement [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Interlaced_video_frame_%28car_wheel%29.jpg example here]), although I think that design will also be alright, we're not some kind of million users site to try to perfect everything after all.
:Upscaled/not upscaled is quite simple: rough pixelated image vs smooth good looking.
