I tried making the icons more simple but it was hard to recognize that the controller was a controller until I added more detail. Should I redesign them? Also I find myself on the IRC more frequently nowadays. Do you use IRC? It may be easier to communicate through pcsx2's IRC channel.

:Oh, wow! Why does this page look like a bad dream on your laptop (is it?)? Even considering the bigger font I, for the life of me, can't understand why does your Firefox resize the revision column like it does (and most of the other total width related columns). Revision column is supposed to be 9% of all page width while CPU/GPU is 16%, and the former is bigger in your browser! The comments column is so condensed it's just so ugly :( (just take a look at [http://imgur.com/MPWVIXP my Firefox] I resized its window to resemble your resolution)! I tried to make this table look at least decent, but it looks like a poo in Linux, why? :(
:Sorry...
:As for the icons, I kinda still like mine 5-minutes made icons better, they look more simple to me. I have nothing against your icons though (except I think both controllers should possibly be of the same size), so let's ask local folks here if they like the new icons more, I'll rely on their opinion. --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 17:31, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
Don't be mislead by my screenshots. I changed a settings called layout.css.devPixelsPerPx which basically change the the resolution websites are shown at (YouTube videos fit better with the value change). Here's a screenshot with that setting on it's default value: http://i.imgur.com/yw11RID.png
Looks similar to your screenshot :P
--[[User:SHunter|SHunter]] 11:46, 27 Feb 2016 (GMT-5)
:Ah, that's better, yes (still a bit different but okay).
:I hope someone will answer here about the icons, people are quite inactive these days. --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 05:56, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
:Well, they just refuse to answer it seems :(. Okay, proceed then if you think your icons are "sufficiently" better, but please if you do, try to size both controllers similarly (otherwise these two icons aren't a couple). --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 18:37, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
I asked on the IRC and there was one vote to keep the current icons and one vote for the proposed icons... My main problems with the current icons is that the 'network multiplayer' icon isn't obvious enough and I'm not a big fan of the color scheme. Maybe I can make something closer to middle-ground (a simpler icon) or cleanup my current icons. --[[User:SHunter|SHunter]] 07:19, 2 Mar 2016 (GMT-5)
:They still use IRC these days? Interesting... Okay then try to simplify yours, recolor mine or come up with something new, it's up to you. --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 06:54, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

== Missing AUS ratings ==
There are a huge amount of Australian games ratings missing. The imgur gallery located at http://imgur.com/gallery/4Cxkn/new shows many missing entries about the Australian Classification Board ratings on this wiki. [[User:DecafGrub47393|DecafGrub47393]] ([[User talk:DecafGrub47393|talk]]) 17:13, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
:Is this your collection?! In any case, this is crazy! :)
:Yes, I known about Australian ratings. I got all ratings (along with other info) from GameFAQs and unfortunately they do not have much info on Australian region. If you can find me some list with these ratings (or any site that mentions them in any form) I could try to update them automatically. Updating from these images is not a feasible idea (too much work). I have a todo list here and it's pretty big, but updating the ratings does not seem to be that time consuming (provided we have a source). --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 17:31, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

::Okay. Anyway, I think I'll try to update AU ratings some time later using https://www.playstation.com/en-au/ but my script will need to literally ''search'' for each game to get to the results [https://www.playstation.com/en-au/games/god-of-war-ps2/ like this]. They don't make it easy anymore :-( --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 19:03, 21 April 2016 (BST)
== Final Fantasy XII Hor+ / Vert- edit ==
Hey there. If you don't want the terms there that's fine, we can talk about it and figure something out. But at the very least I think we should include the fact that the built-in widescreen option is not only cutting off the top and bottom, it _does actually add more to the sides as well. Check it out:

:Okay, I thought in was included, I'll make sure it is, but I don't see any point in using these unfamiliar terms (other than to promote them) --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 05:42, 21 March 2016 (UTC)
::It's not unfamiliar to everyone. Remember there's people who knows about this stuff reading the PCSX2 wiki too, and to them this could be useful information. This wiki is supposed to be for everyone. And to be honest, it's not 'jargon'. It's useful information even to people who don't have a lot of knowledge about the subject. -- [[User:Ryudo|Ryudo]] ([[User talk:Ryudo|talk]]) 14:41, 21 March 2016 (UTC)
:We're not taking a vote on this one (and it is a [http://www.dictionary.com/browse/jargon jargon]). If the text is ''perfectly'' understandable without it, tell me, why the fuss? --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 15:22, 21 March 2016 (UTC)

== Demo discs missing The Netherlands ==
Not sure if it's possible for the bot to still add this or if we have to do it manually instead, but Official Playstation Magazine was released in The Netherlands as well, along with the demo discs. I noticed the country is missing from the released versions list. -- [[User:Ryudo|Ryudo]] ([[User talk:Ryudo|talk]]) 12:14, 7 May 2016 (BST)
:I think you meant OPS2M. Information on OPS2M demos is far from complete. If you know a source where I can find more I can look into it (hardly a work for the bot though). --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 16:47, 7 May 2016 (BST)
::Unfortunately I don't have a whole lot of information available. All I can give you is the info from the magazines I actually have. (I used to be a member of the magazine for a while). I should still have a bunch of the discs around here, that should at least give access to covers, CRCs, etc. Here are some photos of one of them.

:Well then, physical discs are the most trustworthy source (unlike the Internet which is prone to drag the same errors through various places). You can add it yourself of course, the only trick with OPS2M here (OPM2 in your case, the name varied) is that I tried to combine similar issues in one page. For instance, [[Official PlayStation 2 Magazine Demo 24|this article]] has two different discs (issued in different time) but content-wise they are pretty similar. I thought for a while about splitting these discs into separate articles but decided against it in the end (it's easier to compare and see "bigger picture" this way). --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 20:18, 7 May 2016 (BST)
== Thanks I will try to improve my edits in the future ==
I noticed a couple of changes you've made to my recent edits that improve them. I'm still relatively new to wiki editing so this is helpful to me. I will try to keep track of whatever changes are made and incorporate them myself in future edits to make things easier. Thank you for your time.
(Also I'm pretty sure this may not be the place to post messages like this, but I wasn't sure where else to put them. Sorry about that.)

== VP2 WS patch ==
Please check your facts before reverting edits. The VP2 WS patch was removed from the archive in this commit [https://github.com/PCSX2/pcsx2/commit/8e8b8f8ed537947da83725d01ca0617a6ee7bb0f]. It should never have made it in there, because it triggers the games cheating protection and at the very least reproducibly freezes the game in various places, in addition to possibly flagging the save and causing more subtle long-term issues (drop rates and such).
I stated as much in the changelog.
What's the issue here? That the patch is still in the last stable release archive? Even if so, it's buggy and shouldn't be advertised. The game includes a native 16:9 progressive option that should be used instead. [[User:Eloris|Eloris]] ([[User talk:Eloris|talk]]) 18:54, 11 August 2016 (BST)
:Hey, hey! Mind your brain cells please. Simple explanation would've been sufficient. --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 21:09, 11 August 2016 (BST)
::Just for the record, there was no need to remove nemesis' name. Not sure what you're afraid of, but he's a respected member of the PCSX2 community who has created a majority of the widescreen patches. So I have no idea why you were so against mentioning his name. And it was actually useful information for people that want to know of any progress on future patch files. -- [[User:Ryudo|Ryudo]] ([[User talk:Ryudo|talk]]) 23:39, 11 August 2016 (BST)
:It just wasn't the right place to mention the name, that's all. It'd require an additional explanation and it wasn't the place for that, too. --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 06:47, 12 August 2016 (BST)
== Kinda lonely around here + question on pictures ==
Looking through the recent changes, it seems you're pretty much one of the only consistently active users on here, if not THE only. I hope that changes, it's certainly not as if PCSX2 is some dead project or the forums are empty. I'll do my best to contribute info on the games I personally own and possibly some others.
On another note, would scans like http://i.imgur.com/0goUutP.jpg be appropriate for infoboxes on game pages, or stick to just front covers? I have one or two currently but I could certainly do more with my collection to provide better boxart/sleeve images. [[User:Jonbuddy1|Jonbuddy1]] ([[User talk:Jonbuddy1|talk]]) 20:01, 16 August 2016 (BST)
:Well I guess it's a quiet place because the forums are more accessible (and much more social). It has it's ups and downs, but overall I'm the only one tending to it on a permanent basis (not that I mind doing it, I like the monotonous work that distracts me from my real work :)).
:Many boxart images are of a low quality so feel free to update them. Game page images are currently designed to contain only front covers (they may look too small otherwise, you can try it yourself). Edit or add something, any contribution is appreciated! --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 20:30, 16 August 2016 (BST)
:Sorry for busting in, ng check your forum PM :P *Flies away*
:Same :P
== NPUD really necessary? ==
I noticed you mentioning having to rescan GameFAQs for these serials, but PS2 Classics is a PS3/PS4 thing, so is that really necessary at all to have on a PCSX2 Wiki? You're probably better off not wasting your time on those serials. -- [[User:Ryudo|Ryudo]] ([[User talk:Ryudo|talk]]) 17:55, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
:I believe they are Sony online store serials (never had the PS3 so I don't know the name) for encrypted PS2 ISOs you can purchase and download on your PS3. They have the same utility as, for instance, Konami serials like VW021-J1. They can be used as search phrases on the internet among other possible uses. Besides, I've already updated them. --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 18:28, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
== Adding 60 FPS codes to the pages ==
Asasega over at the PCSX2 forums is creating 60 FPS codes for certain games. What are your opinions on adding those to the pages of their respective games? -[[User:Vibhor|Vibhor]] ([[User talk:Vibhor|talk]]) 16:43, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
:Why, only positive -- the more information the merrier (are you proposing to add another icon?). But I'm totally ignorant on the subject, is he turning 50 Hz PAL game into 60 Hz NTSC? What's the novelty in having 60 Hz games? --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 16:57, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
:: I suggest not adding these hacks to the wiki. The widescreen hacks are added to PCSX2 builds in an archive. These 60 FPS hacks are unreliable, hardly tested hacks that often mess with or break parts of a game and are not included with or endorsed by the PCSX2 team.
:::The majority of these new 60 FPS hacks are very much unfinished and only serve in 'speeding' up the game. They still have to be fixed to a point where it doesn't make the game run at 200% speed, which is unfortunately still the case for most of these. -- [[User:Ryudo|Ryudo]] ([[User talk:Ryudo|talk]]) 00:35, 13 February 2017 (UTC)

This is definitely the same game as Alpine Skiing 2005. Some examples:

== PS2 List Possible Missings ==
Hi Ngng! I love the list you put together of PS2 games and I've been referencing it for redump.org's (still incomplete) miss lists.[http://wiki.redump.org/index.php?title=Discs_not_yet_dumped#Sony_Playstation_2]
I’m sure you’re aware of SonyIndex.com from back in the day. Their PS2 Asia list had a bunch of untranslated titles accompanied by serial numbers. I used the list on the PCSX2 wiki to fill in a lot of these names, however there were some serial numbers missing from this wiki. While some of these serial numbers may be incorrect, I they probably all aren't. Here is the list in case it is useful to your efforts.

End of list
:Oh, hi! Welcome! Thanks for using the list! I've got a number of sites and places to check so it's definitely not finished (unlikely to ever be), I'm just taking my sweet time to enjoy the summer so I don't spend much time here. I have a copy of all SonyIndex serials and I'm aware that there are still many unknowns. I hope I'll get to it sooner or later (if ever, life's so unpredictable). Thanks again, though. --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 21:28, 3 August 2017 (BST)
:Actually checked your table against ''complete games list'' and there are two or three cases that are already on my list (either your source was old or some small errors crawled into the parsing code). Other than that the above table already proved useful (I've effortlessly found 4 serials on www.jp.playstation.com). So thanks yet again.
:Oh, and by the way. If I remember correctly I found a number of errors in SonyIndex and the list itself was pretty incomplete (try to exclude all the SonyIndex's serials  from ''complete games list'' here you'll definitely get some new ones). --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 18:40, 6 August 2017 (BST)
::Cool, glad to hear it was useful :). I'll continue using your list as a reference for redump.org's miss list in the never ending goal of preservation. Thanks for your awesome work and I'll be sure to cross check our list again to update with the new data you found for these serials. --[[User:Dizzzy|Dizzzy]] ([[User talk:Dizzzy|talk]]) 18:57, 9 August 2017 (BST)
== Question regarding demo missing from games list. ==
Hey Ngng, I recently came across info about a demo - 989 Sports Demo (not the 2004 one SCUS 97373). Here are pics[http://imgur.com/a/74ozQ]. At first glance it looks like a PS1 demo disc however I know this is not the case, at the bottom of the front it also says "only for PS2". I'm thinking it might be SCUS-94677, 989 Sports 2003 Demo Disc (which sonyindex incorrectly listed as a PS1 game). Any more info? I saw it pop up on ebay a couple weeks back and am kicking myself for not buying it. --[[User:Dizzzy|Dizzzy]] ([[User talk:Dizzzy|talk]]) 16:31, 20 August 2017 (BST)
:Hi! It could still be 2004 Demo Disc (but, yeah, it's doubtful). If it's some 2003 demo it should (but may not) have serial number in range of 97200..97300 (see 97253, 97325, 97226, 97315, 97223, 97317, etc.), I've never seen 946XX serials for the PS2 (but who knows...). The sleeve says it contains only "exciting ''videos'' of these sport titles", so it's still could have only videos on it. But if you collect demos, I'm sorry you've missed it, it looks like it's in mint condition. --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 08:16, 21 August 2017 (BST)
::Meh, I don't really collect discs, I buy, redump / share then resell. It will probably turn up again eventually. By the way, the master list is missing: SLUS-29200 Konami Kids Playground. --[[User:Dizzzy|Dizzzy]] ([[User talk:Dizzzy|talk]]) 20:31, 21 August 2017 (BST)
:Which one? There are four Konami Kids Playground titles and each of them already has a serial. I remember seeing this 29200 when I was working on SonyIndex database (or somewhere else) but skipped it back then. I can probably return to it later, though. --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 08:05, 22 August 2017 (BST)

== Note for You ==
Just a heads up, the reaosn you're seeing a bit more activity than normal is because I put a shout out on Reddit yesterday to try and get untested games filled in :)

Is there any way you specifically can edit the left column? It would be nice to add a tab for "Untested games" - currently it's buried in the Browse section, so not many people know about it.
:By "Untested games" you mean [[:Category:Games without test cases|this category]]? The category is ''almost'' correct (it consists of articles with at least one empty test entry, so [[Ikki Tousen: Shining Dragon|this one]] will also qualify)).
:Yep, the right panel is editable. I'll add the category there, if you think it'll help (and you can also edit it yourself, it's not protected). --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 21:28, 17 November 2017 (GMT)

I know this is another big sort of request, but a way to identify games without compatibility threads linked in them would help us alot as well. I'm sure you could just detect whether or not the string is there no?
:Initially I linked all compatibility thread posts to the corresponding wiki articles and every article back to a forum thread. Now I periodically update wiki articles with new posts' links. It's not a problem at all considering that the forum posts are sorted by date and I know the date of the last post I've checked. But "periodically" in my case means sporadically.

== running ngbot again ==
Hey, it seems the ngbot hasn't been logged in since May 23, 2017 according to the fourms. The compatibility list is quite outdated and alot of the dates are reported as not being updated since March 1st, 2015 - it seems like a full scrape should be in order.
I wasn't sure if there was anything that had to be done on your side to get that going again. Thanks ;)
Also remind me again, how does the data flow for the compatibility list work? I can't remember if entries from the forums automatically get added to the wiki or not/the other way around. Also, is the compatibility list sourced from the forums or the wiki? It's not exactly clear to me :P
:Hey! Happy holidays!
:I'll try to answer by explaining what ngbot is. ngbot is just my second account with different set of rights (say, a bit more rights for some forums threads). I used this account to fill '''every''' compatibility forum thread (and I mean, every one of them) only '''once''' (it was the spring of 2015, 2.5 years ago). And yes, it was done by the script run from my machine, but the script required A LOT of prior work (because forum threads named differently than the wiki pages, so I had to build a link table between the two, which was a cumbersome task).
:After that time I had '''never''' run that script again (and hopefully never will). The wiki links for all the new forum threads (created after ngbot did it's job) are filled without using any script -- either by the person who created the thread or by me sporadically logging in into ngbot account (only if the link is absent).
:On the wiki side the same work of initial linking was done by me (around the same time) by using the second script. After the initial run I've never used the second script either. All the subsequent new links I've added manually (fortunately there weren't so many at all).
:Let's make it clear that we are talking only about [https://forums.pcsx2.net/Forum-Public-compatibility-list this forum] and the thread inside it. We're not talking about the contents of [https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Request-thread-for-new-game-in-compatibility-list this thread] at all.
:Question: Why ain't I updating forum links on the wiki pages? Answer: I'm on it, but I'm slow so bear with me (you can do it yourself if you want, though). The last time I've checked the compatibility forum for the new threads was in November 20, 2017 (I know the exact date because it is written in a special text file). When the next time I'll visit this forum I will open each thread that was created (or modified) '''after''' 11/20/2017 and make changes accordingly (if the thread misses a wiki link, I'll add a correct wiki link, if a corresponding wiki page misses a forum link, I'll add a forum link to that wiki page; and sometimes I add new forum test case itself to the wiki as well).
:As to the subject of [https://pcsx2.net/compatibility-list.html this table], it has nothing to do with me at all. As far as I know it's filled by the simple (?) script run on the server side (periodically?). The script indeed creates table from the data of public compatibility forum threads ('''not''' the wiki). If the data on the PCSX2 main page is stale you better write Bositman, because only he can help you.
:One more thing just in case: I've never created forum threads automatically either from wiki pages or from [https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Request-thread-for-new-game-in-compatibility-list @Request thread for new game in compatibility list] thread. The pages are always created manually by the different forum users when they fill like doing it.
:I hope this small wall of text cleared all the stuff you wanted to know. Also, could you please add your signature after you ask something on the wiki (for posterity and readability)? To add signature just use <nowiki>--~~~~</nowiki> at the end of the sentence. Thanks! --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 21:50, 4 January 2018 (GMT)
== Discs with the same CRC ==
Cheats & WS pnachs and GSdx-HW hacks key on CRCs. If discs have the same CRC, it might cause problems.
Info about this might be confusing to those who haven't (what so ever) dealt with pnachs or hacks, but I doubt that anyone finds it discouraging.
:Uh, hello!
:The same CRC for a different disc means the same binary (executable) which should mean the cheats will work for both discs (I've never seen this CRC code though, only my speculations). If it works as expected why bother mentioning it then? I'm not trying to dissuade you if you're serious about parsing CRCs for every game in the catalogue, but leaving such information of questionable use on only 3 pages is kind of breaking the consistency of said catalogue. Again you can go ahead if you want but there are at least 12K serials to go! It's an astronomical amount! --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 06:04, 27 February 2018 (GMT)
If the discs have the same CRC then it doesn't necessarily mean that they are binary identical, at least not judging from the GSdx-HW hack list in "GSCrc.cpp" which claims that a disc version of "Spyro New Beginning", a disc version of "ICO", and a disc version of "Twisted Metal - Black" have the same CRC, and that a disc version of "Devil May Cry 3" and a disc version of "God Of War" have the same CRC. But OK, this might be better placed in "GameIndex.dbf".
== PAL Games Playable in NTSC mode ==
Yeah, that's precisely what I meant. I don't know what sort of icon you could use for that. But I think in general people would rather play in NTSC mode on PCSX2 since it's usually easier to scale up the resolution than the frame rate. [[User:EddieHimself|EddieHimself]] ([[User talk:EddieHimself|talk]]) 23:48, 26 February 2019 (GMT)
:Oh, hi! If you're dedicated to fill such an information for as many games as you can (because no one else here has this information, certainly not me), please go ahead! You can come up with a picture or an idea at least for me to create a picture (or may be I myself will think of something). When an icon is created I'll add it to the template right away. --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 05:46, 27 February 2019 (GMT)

== Wiki backups ==
Are regular backups of the wiki made? It would be a shame to lose all this information if something went wrong. There seem to be some information about backing up MediaWIki [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Backing_up_a_wiki here]. It would also be good to verify that any backups made can actually be restored properly :P. --[[User:Ratchet66|Ratchet66]] ([[User talk:Ratchet66|talk]]) 23:09, 17 August 2019 (BST)
:Hello there! I do make backups occasionally, but I don't have any access to the wiki server, so my backup program uses the standard backup features [https://wiki.pcsx2.net/Special:Export for pages] and [https://wiki.pcsx2.net/Special:ListFiles images]. The real burden of backing up is on the wiki hosting service (and I could understand your possible skepticism, but I'm just a contributor like any). I can guarantee you though that I can restore my backup any time; after all this wiki was created on a totally different server and then transferred here by the means of such a backup. So rest assured that if the worst comes to the worst, most of the info will be safe and sound. Better yet, you can make your own backup, all you need is a program or a script of some sort for this. --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 08:38, 18 August 2019 (BST)
::That's great to hear! I might make my own backup as well, it can't hurt. --[[User:Ratchet66|Ratchet66]] ([[User talk:Ratchet66|talk]])
:I gotta warn you though. My program just finished download and it's huge. ~7K images/~13K pages with total size of ~2.2Gb, which took 1.5h to download, and one particular page refused to be exported with full history (unsurprisingly it's [[Complete List of Games]]), so I was oblige to code an exception in the process and export only the last revision of it. --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 14:38, 18 August 2019 (BST)
== Question ==
Im pretty sure this guy is a huge troll with malicious intent: https://wiki.pcsx2.net/Special:Contributions/Red_Tv. I don't know if I'm allowed to just go ahead and revert all of his changes but for the most part they're useless, made up, or irrelevant. Example: "Black has an issue of crashing when shooting enemies in the face". You're the only user I know that I've seen editing alot so I turn to you for guidance! [[User:Optim|Optim]] ([[User talk:Optim|talk]]) 06:58, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
:It's been a long time since I played any PS2 game myself so it's not possible for me to tell if any new info added to the wiki is wrong. I don't even know about possible new features in PCSX2, I'm quite unfit  as an administrator. It seems he wants to be thorough in adding small issues, some of them may not be correct or relevant because of his inexperience with the emulator. What's to gain in spreading misinformation on this wiki? It's just a waste of time for a troll in my opinion. If you have some of the games he added issues to, could you check them? If none of his issues are real, then I probably should remove them. --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 10:49, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
::Yeah, I'm a bit pessimistic at times when it comes to wiki's, I guess. The games I've reverted his changes on I've tested personally and found no issues, I'd probably find more if I go down the list, but in my small sample size he's been incorrect so far. I'll test more later on and let you know. Thanks! [[User:Optim|Optim]] ([[User talk:Optim|talk]]) 16:44, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
Hello, I am not a troll i am just a guy who wanted to help improve PCSX2 Wiki
So In addition of adding issue i find i also added issues from github
The issue with the game "Black" was taken from PCSX2 GITHUB
https://github.com/PCSX2/pcsx2/issues/2884
According to the creator of the issue the game crashes when he shoots people heads
And no other condition has been found to reproduce this glitch
Pcsx2 team didnt close his issue so i thought it was legit.
:Oh, Hi! Don't be discouraged, we just overreacted a little. Every little piece of help is appreciated and thank you for your contributions. Some of the github issues may not be real, but that's probably a price to pay for having others that are useful. Fake issues will eventually be removed by the people playing respective games. --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 17:55, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
== Question regarding version number ==
Hey,
you recently edited my testing entry of Test Drive by changing the version number from 1.7.0 to 1.6.0. As far as I know, the version number 1.7.0 was indeed correct, though - as you can see here: https://buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2/
Am I not allowed to use the most recent 1.7.0 builds for testing or what is the issue here? -TomBoss
:Hey yourself! :)
:Sorry I'm just completely out of touch with PCSX2 (and I expected 1.6.0 to follow 1.5.x builds, but apparently this is not the case, my bad). --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 06:30, 10 May 2020 (BST)
== Checking up on Ngng ==
Hey Ngng, how you been? I occasionally still check the wiki and think it's awesome that you're still working on it and maintaining it. Is there anything in particular that you're currently working on or are you mostly just maintaining it nowadays? --[[User:SHunter|SHunter]] ([[User talk:SHunter|talk]]) 11:14, 29 June 2020 (GMT-5)
:Oh, hey! I'm okay, thank you! Haven't seen you in a while, hope you're also doing fine in this big inhospitable world! I'm reduced to a casual guest here, always thinking to myself: soon I'll definitely find the time to update games from redump.org or add this category or do that. The time I never seem to be able to find. I'm doing a personal project for more than a year now (on top of other personal projects), which probably contributes to my laziness. One day, though, I'll rise from the depths of my self deception and do something useful here, too (hopefully)... :) --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 06:11, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
Yeah it's been a while. I remember making icons for the wiki during my senior year in high school then I got really busy in life (in a good way). Now I'm about to graduate from college next semester. I'm also in the same boat, I got lots of personal projects some of which I'm doing so I can land a good job. This wiki is in a pretty good state rn imo. I occasionally find myself running some games in PCSX2 and checking the wiki to fix bugs. PCSX2 has come a long way. In all the games I own there are only minor visual bugs. I really would like to see more progress and I'd like to help on the wiki some too but I guess we're all kinda busy atm. Anyways I got some free time now and thought I would contribute to the wiki and PCSX2 as I play through some games I haven't played in a while. Keep up the good work! --[[User:SHunter|SHunter]] ([[User talk:SHunter|talk]]) 02:03, 30 June 2020 (GMT-5)
:I'm really glad you're doing good! We need more good news! I didn't play a PS2 game in years :-\ (it's always either Doom or newer PC games for me nowadays, guess I was always a doomer). --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 17:53, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
Also I got an idea for another tag/category. With the issues maybe there should be a tag for which stable version of PCSX2 the issue was last verified on. That way it'll be easier to track which issues can be removed or marked as fixed. As many issues can now be removed or archived with the solution being to use the latest stable version of PCSX2. --[[User:SHunter|SHunter]] ([[User talk:SHunter|talk]]) 02:15, 30 June 2020 (GMT-5)
:You mean like "fully playable on 1.6.0 stable"? If you want to do it, go ahead! (but any new tag may require a lot of work to update hundreds of games). --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 17:53, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
That's a good idea for a tag as well. What I meant was another field for issues which says what version of PCSX2 the issue was tested on. On the Spy Hunter page for example most of those issues don't exist on 1.6 stable. I think it's only worth keeping issues which still exist on the latest stable version. The extra field will be useful to bug testers since it'll be easier to keep track of which bugs still exist and are reproducible. I will give it a shot later to update the issues template. It'd be nice if the wiki came with automated tools, I guess I'd have to write a bot to update all the games. --[[User:SHunter|SHunter]] ([[User talk:SHunter|talk]]) 08:27, 02 July 2020 (GMT-5)
:Oh, I got it. Yep, this change is pretty minor and very easy to implement and could be useful as well. I'd give you one of my bots to dissect but as always in such cases they've been written fast and dirty. I guess there must be a source of some universal bot on the net, but I always preferred my own sources. Oh, and "fixed" issues could still be useful, and even are entertaining in a way in my opinion. --[[User:Ngng|Ngng]] ([[User talk:Ngng|talk]]) 06:20, 3 July 2020 (UTC)
