Game is more GPU intensive than CPU, but load isn't very high. OpenGL runs slow on AMD GPU, but 100% at 3x native with Intel integrated Graphics(not so on DX).

Wild Arms Offset will obscure the 3D section of a scene. Skipdraw creates more bugs, but solves none. In Hardware mode, text in-game is slightly bugged. Set Emulation settings -> VUs -> Clamping Mode on Extra. Set CRC Hack Level to "Partial(OpenGL Recommended)" when using "OpenGL (Hardware)" as a renderer. Set it to "Full (Safest)" for Direct3D renderers to stop graphical garbage from filling the screen.

  • Workaround: Open Config -> Emulation Settings -> EE/IOP and use the following settings:

Novice 1-5, Junior 3-5: Round Mode "Chop/Zero" and Clamping Mode "Full"
Novice 6-10, Junior 1-2 and 6-10, Expert 1-2 and 4-10, Super 1-10: Round Mode "Nearest" and Clamping Mode "Normal"

Several license test demonstrations fail at the start

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Major

  • Workaround: Go to Config -> Emulation Settings -> EE/IOP tab, and set Clamping Mode to "Full".

Screen obscured after starting an event.

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Major
  • Description: In hardware mode, the screen is close to completely obscured by garbage.
  • Workaround: This has been fixed in recent PCSX2 v1.5.0 development builds. For older v1.5.0 builds go to Config -> Video(GS) -> Plugin Settings, set Renderer to "OpenGL (Hardware)" and make sure CRC Hack Level is set to "Automatic" or "Partial". For even older PCSX2 versions go the in-game options/pause menu and set brightness to 0. Or set Renderer to any of the "(Software)" options.

Bugged bike shadows

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: In Gardware mode, bike shadows are sometimes stretched out, especially in corners.
  • Workaround: This can be fixed in PCSX2 v1.5.0 development builds. Go to Config -> Video(GS) -> Plugin Settings, and set Renderer to "OpenGL (Hardware)". For older versions also enable the "Hardware Depth" to reduce the impact of the bug, or set Renderer to any of the "(Software)" options to avoid the issue.

Grey bars accross the screen in replays/crash cam

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: In hardware mode, a number of vertical, grey bars appear in the crash cam and frequently during replays.
  • Workaround: This can be fixed in recent PCSX2 v1.5.0 development builds. Go to Config -> Video(GS) -> Plugin Settings, and set Renderer to "OpenGL (Hardware)". For older versions set Renderer to any of the "(Software)" options to avoid the issue.

License test failure screen graphical errors

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: License test failure screen is bugged in hardware mode, the screen should turn black&white, but instead stays in color and shows garbage data onscreen.
  • Workaround: Go to Config > Video(GS) > Plugin Settings and set Renderer to "OpenGL (Hardware)" and CRC Hack Level to "Partial (OpenGL Recommended)" to remove graphical garbage. For Direct3D Renderers set CRC Hack Level to "Full (Safest)" to keep garbage from covering the whole screen. Set Renderer to any of the software modes avoid the garbage data and have the screen show the correct black & white effect.

Menu text is bugged

  • Type: Note (not an issue)
  • Description: Menu text is bugged, with some letters stretching to outside the screen.
  • Workaround: Go to Config -> Emulation Settings -> VUs tab, and set Clamping Mode to "Extra".
