No offense, but I literally got my head chewed off by refraction for mentioning EmuCR versions. (And other people get their topics closed as well whenever a non-official version was being used for PCSX2.)

That's the reason I removed these links. This is still the official PCSX2 wiki basically, so people come here for correct information. And if we link them to improper versions it will cause major issues later on. (It's already happening way too often). -- Ryudo (talk) 18:55, 3 May 2016 (BST)

Okay, it's a good point, but the wiki is not a forum (we're not "doing" support here and accepting test cases from all possible PCSX2 versions) so we can use any links we want, let's just leave an explanation why people should not use said versions to get an official support (I myself always used EmuCR compiled versions btw, did not have any trouble) --Ngng (talk) 19:43, 3 May 2016 (BST)
Regardless of this is the forums or not, you are still hosted by the official PCSX2 website. If we have rules in one place and different/no rules in another, we are going to come across hypocritical. The first thing users are going to do is come here, see there's an EmuCR link which "might" fix their issue, then come to the forums asking why it's not working; We don't want that. Please refrain from using unofficial builds completely and only post links to official releases. --Refraction (talk) 21:14, 3 May 2016 (BST)
Hm, okay, I can agree with your point on different rules, I'll remove the link (though I don't understand why people might think EmuCR builds are any different, they're just builds after all). Btw, people can build the program using this link and ask the same question. --Ngng (talk) 21:29, 3 May 2016 (BST)
Thank you :) I'd rather they built them, you don't know what EmuCR has done with the builds or anything, at least if they build them we can ask what their setup is, although we will likely ask them just to check an official build as well. --Refraction (talk) 21:42, 3 May 2016 (BST)
