Comments: This game is not demanding at all and the game runs fine with default settings, if this game runs slow for you keep note:

  • Setting EE Cylcerate to more than 1, causes cutscenes to have stuttering audio and video.
  • It is recommended to not set VU Cycle Stealing to more than 1, this causes the game to display wrong fps readings and doesn't provide a significant fps boost.
  • When increasing the game's resolution, the main menu may have a low fps reading but in-game the fps will be higher. The main menu is more demanding than the game itself!
  • Remember that different minigames will perform differently.

Test configuration on Linux:

PCSX2 version: untested
Graphics by ZZogl: untested
Sound by SPU2-X: untested

PC specs used to test the game:

CPU: AMD® A8-3800 Overclocked

(2.7 GHz, 100 MHz FSB)

GPU: ATI Radeon HD 6550D

Comments: At 3x Native Resolution and 4x MSAA the game performs surprisingly well:

  • At the main menu: ~35-40fps.
  • In story mode and most minigames: ~60fps.

Here's a list of the minigames that do not run at ~60fps:

  • Monkey Bowling DX: ~30-50fps
  • Monkey Soccer DX: ~30-50fps
  • Monkey Target DX: -50-60fps (Only when there's clouds)
