Game description: Shining Force EXA (シャイニング・フォース イクサ Shainingu Fōsu Ikusa) is an action role-playing game developed by Neverland and published by Sega for the Sony PlayStation 2 video game console as a part of the Shining series. It tells the story of a world divided by a war between humans and demons. Like Shining Force Neo, the gameplay is in the vein of the popular game Diablo or Record of Lodoss War for the Dreamcast (the latter also by Neverland). The game features a variety of weaponry inspired by the medieval era, magic, and a collection of skills that can be improved upon for the main characters.

Comments: The game plays great as long as you play in native resolution. Using anything above native causes graphical glitches like lines to appear in the menus and a ghosting effect in the main lobby although its nothing too annoying. The main lobby has a high bloomy effect but im not sure if that was in the original game or not. There's a couple graphical glitches here and there but mostly with the GUI and nothing too bad. The teleporter room is the only area I noticed that caused a FPS drop from 60 to about 45, other areas like cities, battles and stuff seemed fine although I have a feeling those random attacks with a ton of enemies will cause slowdown. If you get FPS drops don't bother enabling EE or VU hacks as EE does nothing and VU only slows the game down more. In other words if this game lags for you even with the hacks then deal with it :P Hack comments: INTC Spin Detection, Wait Loop Detection, Fast CDVD, mVU Flag Hack, MTVU

PC specs used to test the game:

CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 630 2.80 GHZ
GPU: Geforce 9800GT 1GB

Comments: You'd at least need a good GPU and CPU to run this game at native and something much better than the above stats to run at 4x-6x
