  • PAL last tested with PCSX2 0.9.4 with complains of broken 3d, probably playable with 0.9.8.
  • VU Cycle stealing works very well with the game, and the EE Cycle Hack also works fairly well.

Such high settings may not be necessary though. Optimally, the CPU should at least be a Quad-Core and, and a speed of 4 GHz. This can seriously improve the frame-rate. }

Known Issues:

Over-brightness

A common issue is that the Bloom effect is too high, making it irritating to see a lot of the screen when out in sunny locations.

  • Solution 1: Use 2x, 3x or higher internal resolution in GSdx.
  • Solution 2: GSdx r4893 or higher removes the bloom completely (your mileage may vary on wether this betters or kills ambiance).

Texture Misalignment

Unfortunately, raising the internal resolution to eliminate the bloom effect may cause certain textures to become misaligned. This often causes the bloom effects on Shadow Creatures, Pigeons, Wander's Sword, and Mono's Dress to be placed to the upper-left of their actual position.

  • Solution 1: Hacking into PCSX2's GSDX.ini file can fix the problem. To do this the user must open these files in a specific order. Libraries > Documents > PCSX2 > inis. After this is done, the GSDX file must be opened via the computer's "Notebook" software. In the ini file will be a certain text called "UserHacks_HalfPixelOffset=0". Change the 0 to 1, so that it spells "UserHacks_HalfPixelOffset=1". This will re-align the in-game bloom textures.
