Game description: The original rap star is back in the house! See if you have enough rhythm to keep the beat with everyone's favorite rappin' puppy. Join Parappa and a cast of new and familiar characters on a mission of the utmost importance: prevent the Evil Noodle Syndicate from turning everything into noodles. Check out the funky fresh tunes that are guaranteed to get your toes tappin' and your head bobbin'.
This time, Parappa won a 100 year supply of noodle products. He liked it at first but later got sick of it. His love, Sunny Funny, friendly mocked him by calling him a baby for refusing to eat noodles and he started to question his maturity. But he then noticed something: everything in his town is turning into noodles! Including food! It's now his job to be a grown up and save the day.

Fixed Issues

Black box at the top left of the screen

  • Status: Fixed
  • Type: Serious
  • Description: A black box appears at the top left of the screen in both HW and SW modes
  • Workaround: This issue is fixed in 1.7.0. For older builds, the "Disable Depth Emulation" HW hack can be used but will cause additional graphical issues.

Framerate problems

  • Status: Fixed
  • Type: Major
  • Description: In Nightly builds of PCSX2, the game randomly drops to 30 FPS. This is most common in cool mode, but can also happen in other places.
  • Workaround: Play on an older version of PCSX2. Fixed in the latest 1.7 dev build.

The "rappin' bad" effect is missing

  • Status: Fixed
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: The "rappin' bad" effect is not shown. (This can also be seen in the PS4 port of the game)
  • Workaround: Go to Config > Video (GS) > Plugin Settings, set Renderer to "OpenGL (Hardware)" and make sure Hardware Depth/Depth Emulation is enabled, or set Renderer to any of the "(Software)" options. A different issue will appear in the top left corner of the screen. However, this is a very minor issue that does not get in front of the lyrics. In newer versions this is completely fixed

The "rappin' bad" effect is rendered incorrectly

  • Status: Fixed
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: The noodles seen in bad mode appear as strange squares
  • Workaround: In older versions of PCSX2 (before 1.7.0) go to Config > Video (GS) > Plugin Settings, set internal resolution to native. In newer versions (1.7.0 and after) this issue has been fixed. (Note: the HW hack disable safe features uses the upscaling from older versions making the issue appear again)

Objects sometimes get in the way of lyrics

  • Status: Fixed
  • Type: Serious
  • Description: Objects sometimes get in the way of lyrics.
  • Workaround: Go to Config > Video (GS) > Plugin Settings > HW hacks, and turn off disable depth emulation.
