If your computer can't handle the game and it starts to lag then use EE 2 or VU 1-2. I can't be certain the game won't screw up later on but if its anything like KH1/2 then chances are it'll run just fine., A dual core can probably run it just fine provided they have a decent enough GPU and use the standard hacks along with EE and VU stealing if needed.

Game description: Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories was remade for the PlayStation 2, titled Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories.
