Game description: Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix expands on the original Kingdom Hearts II with new features and plot elements.

Test configuration on Windows:

PCSX2 version: 1.0.0 (r5350)
Graphics by GSDX: r5334 sse2
Sound by SPU-X: 2.0.0 (r5324)
Pad plugin is LilyPad: 0.11.0 (r5282)
DVD plugin is cdvdGigaherz: 0.8.0 (r4510)

Comments: Works fine. Scaling is the main drain of the game. None of the hacks worked when I had them on except MTVU. (6x Scaling works, however 30 fps while fighting) then I set it to Scaling: 5x, game worked at full 60 fps. Also, small subtitle errors, however it's due to upscaling like the rest of the KH series. Not really noticeable, unless looked at closely.

Usually 55-60 FPS during fights and cutscenes. However, it may lag to around 40 FPS for a second or two with big explosions such as Fire effects (or for a while in the case of Axel's fights, in which case turn down scaling for these instances and turn them back on when done). Also when large amounts of textures are loaded, and have to be displayed at once (The giant Nobody symbol at Twilight's View and most of the end game, after you open The Door). Hack comments: All hacks have no substantial speedup, except MTVU (Multi-Threaded microVU1) which showed significant speedup.

Test configuration on Linux:

PCSX2 version: untested
Graphics by ZZogl: untested
Sound by SPU2-X: untested

PC specs used to test the game:

CPU:
  • Intel Core i7 2600 RAM: 12g
  • Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6750 @ 2.66GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
GPU:
  • Nvidia GeForce 550 Ti GTX
  • AMD Radeon HD 4800 1GB

Comments: Turn on MTVU, and turn scaling down a notch. No lag whatsoever in 4x native. Other than that very minor problems, that do not affect gameplay.
