Game description: Guilty Gear Isuka introduces new characters, new arenas, and several new franchise firsts. Now, four players can brawl in two-on-two fighting or cooperatively against the computer AI. A new mode lets you customize your own character's appearance, moves, and combos with points earned during matches. Guilty Gear Isuka also features three new characters, all-new arenas, and a side-scrolling Action Game mode. Prove that you're skilled enough to win the tournament, and save humans from the Gear threat.
While the gameplay remained almost the same as in previous titles, the game introduced a four-player battle mode, and the PS2 version included new features to the series, including a scrolling adventure, a customization mode, and two new characters. Guilty Gear Isuka received mixed critical reviews. It was praised for its visual, music and customization features. However, although some aspects of the new gameplay—such as the two fighting planes and the turn button—were praised as original, their implementation was criticized. The removal of features present in previous titles was also not well received by critics.

Test configurations on Windows:

Environment Configurations Comments Tester
Region OS CPU/GPU Revision Graphics Sound/Pad
NTSC-U/PAL ?
  • Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5400 @ 3.60 GHz
  • GeForce 9600GT
0.9.8 GSdx (r4600)
  • SPU2-X (r4600)
  • LilyPad (r4510)
BIOS: USA v02.00, Needs the Skip MPEG Hack gamefix. May just be my personal preference but it looks better in Native resolution in GSdx. 60/60FPS, Allow 8-bit textures in GSdx helps with speed. Machina
