Bugs: •Can't focus on Ghosts while in Hardware Rendering mode - Work around: Switch to Software Rendering as soon as there's a ghost in sight and then revert back to Hardware mode for extra eye candy (just press "F9") •Some vertical lines in some sprites while in Hardware Rendering mode. - Work around: Switch to Software Rendering

BIOS: USA 2.30, It works but the camera issue is a real serious problem. None of the workarounds ever truly worked for me in Hardware Mode so I had to resort to just playing this game in Software Mode to completely avoid the problem entirely. This is honestly the recommended thing to do because there's just too many issues with the camera in HW Mode. If you use one workaround you will cause another issue like invisible ghosts, etc. Ryudo

Known Issues

Camera doesn't focus on Ghosts

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Major
  • Description: The camera allows you to target ghosts and damage them (in battles), or take pictures of ghosts that only show up temporary. This issue causes the camera to not lock on either type of ghost, making it nearly impossible to pass the fights or snap a shot of a random ghost. Here is a video of the problem.
  • Workaround: Use GSdx Software Mode (F9).
  • Alternative solution 1: Enable Logarithmic Z in GSdx options (Only appears in D3D9 Hardware and this seems to help only on some systems).
  • Alternative solution 2: If the above does not work for you: use revision 2842, the game works perfectly with that (both with software and hardware renderer). You can read about it here or alternatively here
    • Update: It works better on PCSX2 1.2.1 than before. Switch from HW to SW and back to HW (with F9) for a temporary fix each time it still happens. Using r2842 is a bad idea to my opinion, the ghosts are invisible and it's a really buggy version.

Invisible Ghosts

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Serious
  • Description: Some ghosts are invisible. Seems to be related to the previous issue.
  • Workaround: Fix in software mode or switch from HW to SW and back to HW (with F9) for a temporary fix each time it happens.
    • Note: This might've been a bug in older versions of PCSX2 only. It's best to use an updated version of PCSX2 (at the very least v1.2.1 stable or one of the recent developer builds).

Freeze occurring at the Final Boss

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Major
  • Description: The game will not continue (sound still playing though), while going into finder mode.
  • Workaround: Use savestates as stated here
    • Update: This problem seems to surface when you enter finder mode facing towards the path going down to the gate, which is actually the direction you are in when the battle begins.
      • The solution is to run around the final boss and enter finder mode facing the gate, not the path leading there.

Black lines

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: Black lines on some textures and ghost faces when you use upscaling.
  • Workaround: To avoid that, use a resolution of 1260x****.

Negative FMV corrupted

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: Negative FMV when you pick up the four stones aren't shown properly.
  • Workaround: Fix in software mode.

Lens flare effect missing

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: Lens flare effect on your flashlight is missing in some areas.
  • Workaround: Fix in software mode or switch from HW to SW and back to HW (with F9) for a temporary fix each time it happens.

Lightning glitch

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: Small texture/lighting glitch on the door to the buddha statues.
  • Workaround: Fix in software mode.

Small colour lines

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: Some lines at the bottom of the screen during FMV and sometimes during gameplay (very minor).
  • Workaround: Fix in software mode.
