Fixed Issues
Mipmapping issues in Hardware Mode
- Status: Active
- Type: Minor
- Description: Broken textures at a distance.
- Workaround: Go to Config > Video (GS) > Plugin Settings, and set mipmapping to at least "Basic".
For a full solution switch to Software mode by setting Renderer to any of the "(Software)" options.
Broken character textures
- Status: Fixed
- Type: Serious
- Description: Characters uniforms appear distorted from a certain distance.
- Workaround: This is resolved in recent v1.5.0 git builds. If it does not work, go to Config -> Video (GS) -> Plugin Settings and make sure Mipmapping is set to "Automatic". If so please report the region of the game and the games CRC code[8-digit hexadecimal code between brackets in the PCSX2 log window title bar] on the Discussion page or in a test report. To manually enable the fix, go to Config > Video(GS) > Plugin Settings, and set Mipmapping to "Basic". For older versions set Renderer to Software modes by selecting one of the "(Software)" options and check that Mipmapping is enabled.
Broken 3D graphics
- Status: Fixed
- Type: Serious
- Description: Ground and sky are only partly visible.
- Workaround: This is fixed in recent PCSX2 v1.5.0 git builds as long as System > Automatic Gamefixes is enabled. For older versions go to Config > Emulation Settings > VUs tab and set Clamping Mode to "Extra" or higher when using microVU. Alternatively(not recommended, but could improve performance if needed) set VU0 and VU1 to superVU recompiler, and keep Clamping Mode to the default "Normal".
