|Description=The game's internal timing is way off. This causes events to desync such as the ghost car that will either go much faster/slower than the time you set (if you import a save game with ghost times). Playing with internal cameras such as bumper view, hood view or cockpit will increase the gameplay speed in such a way that the car is too fast and uncontrollable. The internal timing is sensible to the emulation speed, speedhacks, renderer and even tracks/cars used.

|Workaround=This is not a foolproof solution, but going to Config>Emulation Settings>Speedhacks, tick "Enable speedhacks" and setting "EE Cyclerate" to -3 makes the game less faster, but still not quite how is supposed to run. Enabling Software Mode will also make the game slower (if you can substain a decent amount of fps).
|Workaround=If you have a very powerful CPU, you can still get a "playable" experience by manually setting the "Game Properties" as following: '''Graphics:''' Software mode (the game is still buggy with Hardware rendering), 6 threads (more will not give any advantage); '''Emulation:''' EE Cycle Rate to 60% (Underclock) (this will avoid sudden speeds up when using internal views), EE Cycle Skipping to Mild Underclock (massive speed boost). These settings will cause the car selection preview models to go slower and FMVs to play slower. Your mileage may vary depending on your CPU.}}
