Known Issues

Vertical bars in multiplayer

  • Status: Fixed
  • Type: Serious
  • Description: In multiplayer, bars of white obscure much of both split screens.
  • Workaround: Fixed in recent PCSX2 1.5.0 dev builds, keep crc hack level on Automatic. For older builds go to Config > Video (GS) > Plugin Settings, click "Enable HW Hacks", go to Configure Hacks and set Skipdraw to 3. Or set Renderer to any of the "(Software)" options.

Untextured sky/no light rings

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: Sky is either untextured or renders without light rings.
  • Workaround: Switch to software mode using F9 before loading a race, and once loading has finished, switch back to Hardware mode by pressing F9 again.

Glitched reflections and textures

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: Certain reflections and textures do not load correctly.
  • Workaround: Use System -> Boot CDVD (fast) instead of System -> Boot CDVD (full).

Dulled Surfaces

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: In Hardware mode, shiny surfaces e.g. car bodies are duller than they should be.
  • Workaround: Go to Config > Video (GS) > Plugin Settings, set Renderer to "OpenGL (Hardware)" and set Blending Unit Accuracy to at least "High". Or set Renderer to any of the "(Software)" options.

Grey Lines Within Text

  • Status: Fixed
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: Nearly all text has dark grey lines running inside each character.
  • Workaround: This has been fixed in recent v1.5.0 git builds. For older versions set Renderer to any of the "(Software)" options.
