Set "Async Mix" as synchronization mode for better song playback. Using hardware mode is faster and fixes some of the missing blur effects, but it also blurs and adds ghost effect to other parts (car rear bumpers). Software mode is slower ~30-35 fps if not using fgrlx. joder666

Known Issues

Shader Issues in Multiplayer

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Major
  • Description: In multiplayer, bars of white obscure much of both split screens.
  • Workaround: Enable shade boost in GSdx settings, change 'Brightness' to anything lower than 50 (49 works), and enable Texture Filtering. Not sure whether both are necessary but this works.

Black Sky / Shattered Car Window Effect is Missing

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: Sky is rendered black and car windows don't appear broken after a crash.
  • Workaround: Boot the game using software mode of GSdx, get in a race, exit back to menu then switch back to hardware renderer by pressing F9. Until you restart PCSX2 again, the sky will be blue, albeit a bit bugged.

Missing Blur Effects

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Affected Game Versions: All
  • Description: Blur effects when moving fast are missing.
  • Workaround: Use Software mode.

Broken Fog

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Affected Game Versions: All
  • Description: Fog in this game is not properly emulated and does not appear as a result.
  • Workaround: Use Software mode.

Purple Windows/Textures Under 16:9 Mode

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Major
  • Affected Game Versions: All
  • Description: Bugged textures when booting the game via System->Boot CDVD (full) (most probably due to the game trying to run at 16:9 mode)
  • Workaround: Use System->Boot CDVD (fast), although this way you cannot get the game to work in widescreen mode.

Sun is Visible Through Walls

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Affected Game Versions: All
  • Description: The sun can be seen through walls and objects.
  • Workaround: No workaround is available at this time.

Grey Lines Within Text

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Affected Game Versions: All
  • Description: Some text has light grey lines running inside each character e.g. the "BEST" text in Time Attack.
  • Workaround: Use Software mode.
