Game description: As the outlaw player, Kite, you're on a mission of truth. In the virtual world of .hack Part 1: Infection, anything is possible and nothing is as it appears. Fight your way through contaminated levels of cyberspace as you take on and eliminate enemies, and unlock codes that will allow you to gate travel to even more environments. To get the game to run, it requires using r1888 with microVU 0 and 1 activated. The game can be run at full speed without using speedhacks. Having 2x Cycle Rate, INTC Sync Hack, and IOP Sync Hack does not seem to break the game, but it is highly recommanded that use as few speedhacks as possible. Using it when you experience speed problems. CKL

Known Issues

Random crashes

  • Status: Fixed
  • Type: Major
  • Description: In old versions it would crash randomly after playing for a while.
  • Workaround: Requires using microVU 0 and 1 as VU recompilers. Unknown if still needed but it is the default setting.

Shadows

  • Status: Fixed
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: Shadows are either missing or appear as big garbage in the ground
  • Workaround: Use OpenGL with HW OGL Depth enabled.
