Game description: Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne is a continuation of the popular role-playing series, set in our modern world. It's an average day, as a typical Japanese high school student goes to the hospital, for a visit with his sick teacher. While on the train, he gets a mysterious vision that the Apocalypse is coming. Arriving at the hospital, the boy is sucked into a Vortex Field, into a dark mirror-image of his world. When he learns our world is ending to make room for this new one, he'll do what he can to get back home and (hopefully) stop the Apocalypse.

BIOS: USA v01.60, The game can be run at full speed without speed hacks. If you can't, it means your pc is not fast enough. In this case, try using speed hacks, but keep in mind that speed hacks can break the game.
As of r5819, the shadow has been removed from the main character in Hardware rendering mode. Switch to software mode to display the shadow on the main character again. Turning on interlacing in GSdx plugin will remove screen flicker. Blend bff seems to look the best and auto setting will also default to this mode. Unfortunately for benchmarking, the most performance-intensive part of the game is its true final boss 'Lucifer'; moves such as 'Focus' seem to have a similar effect on performance too., With activated Speed Hacks it runs 99% of the time smoothly. I used the Pal Version of the Game, so this works too. If you can run the game with or without speed hacks, and your pc is slower than mine, please change the pc specs in this section. |
