Game description: From the developers of the critically acclaimed Dark Cloud 2 and Dragon Quest series, Level-5 delivers an unparalleled role-playing game experience with Rogue Galaxy for the PS2. Set in a vast world, this action-RPG provides gamers with visually stunning backdrops, an immersive storyline with plenty of unexpected twists, and a proprietary combat system that gives the player total control of an epic adventure. Control up to three characters at a time, each colorfully brought to life within highly detailed environments. In addition to the compelling storyline, gamers will have access to multiple mini-games and be able to generate custom weapons and items by creating their own factory.
The story of Jaster Rogue, a good-natured young man who's just trying to make ends meet hunting beasts on his dusty little home planet. He longs for more excitement in his life, and he gets it when one day he has a run-in with an enigmatic man who is a highly experienced bounty hunter.

Known Issues
Black Squares
- Status: Fixed
- Type: Minor
- Description: Black Squares appear behind weapons
- Workaround: Update to the latest nightly version of PCSX2.
Corrupt Flashbacks
- Status: Active
- Type: Major
- Description: Flashback Cutscenes are corrupt and you are unable to tell whats going on
- Workaround: Under "special game fixes" checking the "manual fix" box and "switch to software mode for cutscenes" or pressing F9 durring play, solves the issue
Vedan: Myna Out of bounds
- Status: Active
- Type: Major
- Description: Upon reaching Vedan: Myna, you may suffer a glitch where your character gets stuck to the roof of the map when passing over certain sections of the map, particularly on or around the railroad tracks. Sometimes the character will suddenly be thrown high into the air and fall back to the ground instead of going out of bounds.
- Workaround: Two changes to the default settings must be made to prevent this issue from occurring. First, under "Emulation settings", in the "EE/IOP" tab, find "Clamping Mode" and change it to "Full". Second, under "Emulation settings", in the "VUs" tab, find "Clamping Mode" and change it to "None". This workaround should only be used in Myna, because it will cause some minor graphical and audio glitches during certain cutscenes.
Missing Kanji in JP Director's Cut
- Status: Active
- Type: Minor
- Description: Some kanji characters are not displayed on the game UI and subtitles. This appears to happen after you load an emulator saved state.
- Workaround: To resolve this simply load your saved game the old fashioned way from the memory card instead. You can still use saved states but when you mess up go to the nearest save point, save, then load the game from the title screen. All kanjis should appear properly now.
