Performance is very inconsistent on 0.9.7+ even using speedhacks, but with revision r4865+ the MTVU speedhack provides a ~100% increase in speed. Without MTVU enabled, a 3.8Ghz Quad CPU drops to 40 FPS when looking at the school or running about in town. With MTVU enabled, the game runs at about 90 FPS in these same areas. | Squall leonhart |

Game still works fine. Fonts are messed up in GSdx HW mode. | |

Game runs well at 5x native resolution, no audio or major visual glitches are present. The only problem is with the text in game is not completely filled in, but it is still readable. Bios v 2.0 was used. | Zrooney |

USA v1.60(07/02/2002), The game runs flawlessly both in Hardware and Software mode, some minor slowdowns while in Software Mode, but it could be my CPU's fault
great performance for an open world game. |

The game runs unstable at around 80% speed and 40-50 FPS. | Nova Senpai |

1.7.4993 | AVX2 | Integrated | Game runs smoothly, no FPS drops or audio cutouts, but when i'm outside i see a very noticeable ghosting effect, no big news, was always happening, but it's annoying, and the reason i enabled manual hardware fixes was simply to turn off wild arms offset, that is an automatic hw hack for Bully, but it has the side effect of making the radar jittery and makes some text buggy. If you want the peak Bully experience, switch to software mode | RandomDude |

Trivia
- Original names: ブリー (SLPS-25879) & (SLPS-25950)
- Also known as Canis Canem Edit (EU, AU)
- Widescreen crops the top and bottom of the 4:3 image, meaning less visible viewing area than when played in 4:3.
Known Issues
Misaligned depth blur effect
- Status: Active
- Type: Major
- Description: The game's depth blur effect isn't emulated precisely in Hardware rendering and causes blue shift on the last couple columns of pixels on the right edge of the screen, and stretches too far off of distant models when upscaling, introducing considerable ghosting. This ghosting effect is much worse and much more noticeable in "OpenGL" and "Vulkan" Hardware renderers (Questionable) and Half Pixel Offset does not fix the issue, the issue does not occur in 1.6.0 stable, only on nightly (Tested on NTSC-U with Nightly Build 1.7.4988)
- Workaround: There is no full stable workaround for Hardware mode besides switching to Software mode or enabling Round Sprite to reduce it, Wild Arms Offset helps as well but it makes the radar jittery and makes some text buggy.
Black fading effect not working properly
- Status: Active
- Type: Minor
- Description: When entering a room or building, black fading effect doesn't fully fade away and is displayed incorrectly. (Found in 1.6.0 and 1.7.0 Nightly)
- Workaround: Set renderer to Software mode.
Blur problem
- Status: Active
- Type: Minor
- Description: Happens when Jimmy looks down at the ground with only the black & white camera in aiming mode, might also happen when you humiliate someone or zoom in. (Found in 1.7.0 Nightly only)
- Workaround: Set renderer to Software mode.
Incorrect snow rendering in Chapter III in Hardware mode
- Status: Active
- Type: Minor
- Description: The snow is rendered incorrectly in Chapter III in Hardware mode, making it appear to be much darker and dim than it needs to be, lacking it's bright white color, saturation in certain time of day and proper blue tint in the night.
- Workaround: Set renderer to Software mode in Config > Graphics Settings.
The U and Y in BULLY loading screen are broken
- Status: Active
- Type: Minor
- Description: On most loading screens, the U and Y in Bully have a line at the bottom of the letter, the issue is 100% about upscaling, as at Native resolution, the bug doesn't occur
- Workaround: Set Set Internal Resolution to Native (PS2) or switch to Software renderer.
Fixed Issues
Hattrick vs. Galloway mission in Chapter II is unbeatable
- Status: Fixed
- Type: Major
- Description: Chapter II in the Hattrick vs. Galloway mission is unbeatable; one of the objectives is to break the trophy case and take the empty bottle.
- Workaround: Update to the latest nightly version of PCSX2.
Missing background blending effect
- Status: Fixed
- Type: Minor
- Description: The game's background blending effect doesn't normally work in Hardware mode.
- Workaround: Update to the latest nightly version of PCSX2.
Chapter III snow glitch
- Status: Fixed
- Type: Minor
- Description: In Chapter III there is a glitch due to snow (tested in Bully PAL, PCSX2 v1.6.0).
- Workaround: Update to the latest nightly version of PCSX2.
