Core Design was a British game developer set up in 1988. They were best known for developing the original Tomb Raider games. Only one of these games, The Angel of Darkness, was released on PS2. This game received mixed reactions from critics, but was generally regarded as being mediocre compared to previous titles and did not sell many copies. Because of this, the publishers EIDOS decided to use a new developer, Crystal Dynamics, to create subsequent titles. Without their best-selling franchise, they created a couple of titles for PSP before being sold to independent game developer Rebellion in 2006.
The following table contains a list of games developed by CORE design released for PS2:
Game Title | Year |
---|---|
Project Eden | 2001 |
Thunderstrike: Operation Phoenix | |
Herdy Gerdy | 2002 |
Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness | 2003 |
