Game description: Ten years ago, Kazuma Kiryu, a rising star in the yakuza world, took the fall for his brother Akira Nishikiyama's murder of top captain Sohei Dojima and was expelled from the Tojo Clan. Now, having gotten out of prison, Kazuma discovers that 10 billion has vanished from the Tojo Clan coffers, Akira has seemingly turned heel, and a young girl named Haruka might be at the center of the conspiracy. Teaming up with a disgraced police detective, an all-seeing informant, and several other odd characters, Kazuma and Haruka must find the missing 10 billion and learn the truth about Akira's fall from grace... if they can stay alive.
Much of the game takes place in Tokyo's Kamurocho district. Kamurocho is based on Shinjuku's red-light district Kabukichō, which is famous for its hostess bars (cabarets), host clubs, love hotels, shops, restaurants, nightclubs, and its organized crime presence.
Yakuza is the prequel to Yakuza 2. A remake, {https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakuza_Kiwami

Non-Issues
Ghosting when upscaling
- Type: Not an issue
- Description: In some areas of the game the character models, neon signs, etc. will have a ghosting like effect when upscaling.
- Workaround: Enable Align Sprite to partially fix this. Because Half-Pixel Offset causes lines in the middle of the screen, the only true way to fix this is to play at Native resolution.
Glitched effect at the corner of the screen when upscaling
- Type: Not an issue
- Description: On resolutions higher than native the right and bottom corners of the screen will become distorted
- Workaround: Set the rendering resolution to native. Half Pixel offset can be used to mitigate the effect but it causes black lines in the middle of the screen.
