Game description: You can play as Neo in a story spanning the entire Matrix trilogy in The Matrix: Path of Neo. The game's story is written and directed by the Wachowski siblings, who created the movie trilogy. You can employ all the reality-bending powers of "The One" as you engage in fights both from the movie and made exclusively for the game. The Matrix: Path of Neo also includes new, unreleased video from the movies, and new characters that expand the story of The Matrix.
In Shiny Entertainment's first licensed Matrix game, Enter the Matrix, only sideline characters were playable. It did not feature the series' protagonist Neo, and due to its nature as an extension of the films' storyline, had few recreations of scenes in the film trilogy. David Perry, president of Shiny Entertainment Inc, has stated that Path of Neo is "basically the game that gamers wanted first time around... The Neo Game!".

Game works well from start to finish also in Hardware Mode.Under HW hacks set "Merge Sprite":ON and Half-pixel Offset to "Special Texture".Games look good with minor glitches, little bit dark if you don't set Brightness to almost '6' in game options.Some bloom effects missing but game looks very sharp.

Known Issues

Various graphics glitches in Hardware Mode

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: In some areas of the game the environment , light , bloom etc. have glitched graphics.
  • Workaround: Go to Config -> Video (GS) -> Plugin Settings, enable HW hacks, go to Advanced Settings and Hacks,check "Merge Sprite" and set Half-pixel Offset to "Special Texture". It is recommended to use latest Git revision.

Bugged shadows in SW mode

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: Shadows are bugged on certain areas/camera angles.
  • Workaround: Use OpenGL HW mode.
