Game description: Kessen III marks the Kessen franchise's return to Japanese history and aesthetics. The story begins at the heart of Japan's turbulent Sengoku, or "warring states," period. You play as Nobunaga, a warrior who must stand against legions of samurai to resurrect a land rife with chaos and sorrow. To win your battles, you must master your ninja attacks, charge the battlefield with various units, develop clever offensive strategies, and equip your officers with the best weapons.

  • Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5400 (3.6Ghz)

  • SPU2-X 1.4.0
  • LilyPad 0.10.0
BIOS: USA v2.00, Hacks: INTC, Wait Idle Loop, mVU flag hack. PAL last tested with 0.9.2 giving a DVD9 error, probably working with 0.9.8 too., 60+ FPS Machina
PAL Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
  • Intel i7-6700K @ 4.00GHz
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB

  • SPU2-X 2.0.0
  • LilyPad 0.12.1
BIOS: USA v02.30, Preset: 3 (Balanced). Goes ingame and runs perfectly stable without any major issues. The only notable thing is that cutscenes can sometimes have a flickering line at the bottom which can easily be fixed by manually switching to Software Mode (F9) during the cutscene or using the "Switch to GSdx software rendering when an FMV plays" game fix in the settings menu. I have not played further than the second level, so I can't confirm if the game is playable from start to finish. See my video here. TomBoss
