Game description: The Essence of Speed! Whip through tight hairpin turns. Overtake competitors with inches to spare. Heat up the brakes after a blazing straightaway run. Experience for yourself the adrenaline rush of F1 racing. It's real F1 racing with all the drivers, cars, teams, sponsors and tracks.
The game features all the drivers, cars and circuits from the 2002 Formula One season. Australian developer Torus Games also supplied the art for the Silverstone (UK), Magny-Cours (France) and Montreal (Canada) racing tracks.

•Must use Software mode (F9) or in-game graphics are just black textures, the speed then is so low that I don't consider it playable. If someone gets playable speeds please update. 15-25 FPS because of Software mode.

- Original names: グランプリチャレンジ (SLPM-65276), 그랑프리 챌린지 (SLKA-25054)
- Also known as GP Challenge
- Status: Active
- Type: Major
- Description: In Hardware mode the entire screen, except for the HUD, is black once a race is loaded.
- Workaround: Has been fixed for "OpenGL (Hardware)" in v1.5.0 git revisions as of mid April 2016. Go to Config > Video (GS) > Plugin Settings, and set Renderer to "OpenGL (Hardware)". For the Direct3D (Hardware) renderers, click "Enable HW Hacks", go to Configure Hacks and set Skipdraw to '3'(this will also remove some minor graphical effects). The only workaround for older PCSX2 versions is setting Renderer to any of the "(Software)" options.
