Fatal Frame III, known in Japan as Zero: Shisei no Koe (零~刺青の聲~) and in Europe as Project Zero 3, is the third installment in the Fatal Frame video game series. The game's plot ties the first three games in the series together, featuring characters, locations, and sections of storyline from the previous two games.
The game is a direct sequel of Fatal Frame and Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly, seeing the return of Miku Hinasaki, the heroine of Fatal Frame, as well as other characters that share a connection with the events from the preceding games.

Playable, but a bit on the slow side because of heavy image filtering., Native res is fast & looks good, but some filtering bugs (border halos) on higher res... | |

The game plays fine so far. If you use anything higher than native resolution or enable MSAA lines start to appear off to the side and get worse the higher you set those options. Enabling EE stealing provides a nice boost but I noticed the voice dialogue skips occasionally, this could just be a fluke on my end though. Enabling 8-Bit textures also provides a small boost if your GPU can handle it. | CrazySteve88 |

Known Issues
Flashing Floor Textures (Decals)
- Status: Active
- Type: Minor
- Description: In the main hall where you find the ghost of the woman and her child various textures in the dirt will flash at random
- Workaround: Use Software mode
White camera borders
- Type: Not an issue
- Description: The game draws a white border glow effect that when upscaled will resemble a camera frame. This effect is visible in SW mode as well, though it's incredibly faint.
- Workaround: Setting Half Pixel Offset to Normal can help to mitigate this somewhat (automatically applied in up-to-date nightly builds). Otherwise don't upscale. Use SW mode or native res HW mode to make it blend in and be less visible. Fractional multipliers such as 1.75 or 2.25 may reduce the effect also.
Unable to enter enclosed room
- Type: Not an issue
- Description: If you take a photo of Tengai through the walls in the stained corridor during Hour IX, you will not be able to enter the little door leading into the room in the center. The seal to the big northern door in the garden corridor will be broken, meaning this isn't a game-breaking glitch, but you do miss out on some lore by doing this.
- Workaround: Do not take any photos after entering the stained corridor, even if you see Tengai walking to the door. This can cause the camera to take the photo, even if you're not pointing at the room, keeping you from entering the room. Wait to take photos until after you enter.
Fixed Issues
MTVU Destroys ingame Textures
- Status: Fixed
- Type: Minor
- Description: If the MTVU Speedhack is enabled while mVU is enabled all textures in the game will cease to render. (This is generally inconsistent and may not happen to you)
- Workaround: Update to the latest nightly version of PCSX2.
