Europe v01.70(27/02/2003), MTVU, INTC Spin Detection, Enable Wait Loop Detection, mVU Flag Hack, Still Playable. Graphical issues can be solved by booting the game in software mode then switching to hardware mode with F9 once you're ingame. | |

1.3.0 r5051 (SVN) | GSdx D3D11 r5051 | SPU2-X r5025 | HACKS: Preset = Balanced and/or EE CycleRate = x2 / mVU Block Hack and MTVU checked / Scaling x3 / Everything else at default., The game runs at full speed all time but still have some graphical glitches. Atleast in the latest SVNs the vertical lines was fixed (in 0.9.8 still have these lines) and the black sky is still present . Also the sound (mostly the musics in races) is running a bit choppy. SOUND FIX: audio plugin settings, output settings: 1-XAudio 2, synchronizing mode: Async Mix. no sound problems since. | H3llRaiser |

1.3.1-8 (GIT) | GSdx 10 (Software) |

Used default preset (2-safe), 2 rendering threads for GSdx10 software and async audio for SPU-X. I'm baffled that it runs at ~40-45 fps with no audio issues. | Joder666 |
PAL | Windows 8.1 64bit |

1.3.1-91 (GIT) | GSdx 10 Hardware (F9 to software for fixing sky) |

Used default preset (2-safe) and switched between dx9 and dx11 to see if there where any differents at all. Menus at 50 fps, ingame in hardware-mode ~30fps at best with this laptop. | chriztr |
NTSC-U | Windows 10 64-Bit |
|
1.5.0-3179 (GIT) | GSdx AVX2 1.1.0 Hardware (F9 to software for fixing sky) |
|
Used balanced preset (3-balanced) and noticed solid 60fps throughout all menus and gameplay at 3x internal resolution. Weird issue with filtering lines appearing at the bilinear mark in both software and hardware modes. Will try again to see if this is reproducible. | pwnedbygary |
PAL | Windows 10 Home |
|
PCSX2 1.6.0 (Stable) | GSdx |
|
BIOS: USA 2.30, on D3D11 Hardware with Native Resolution, used default preset (2-safe). 60 FPS on Menus. 30~40 FPS in Races. 60 FPS in Crash mode. | El-Chamemo |
NTSC-U | Windows 10 64-Bit |
|
1.7.2 | Running the game in Vulcan mode at 3x resolution with EE cyclerate set at 2, pretty much all other settings set at default values: getting nigh flawless performance, 59-60 fps all throughout, no slowdowns noticeable afaik. The sun bug is the only graphical glitch I've encountered so far. | Ash97 |

Known Issues
Sun is Visible Through Walls
- Status: Fixed
- Type: Minor
- Affected Game Versions: All
- Description: The sun can be seen through walls and objects.
- Workaround: In recent v1.5.0 git builds, go to Config > Video (GS) > Plugin Settings, and set the "Renderer" to any of the software modes. There is no fix for older versions.
Street directions are visible further than they should in Hardware mode at higher resolutions
- Status: Active
- Type: Minor
- Description: Some street directions, like the red crosses sprites that tell you a street is closed, or the yellow arrows that tell you turn, appear before they should in Hardware mode at higher resolutions because the game uses mipmaps to gradually make them appear as you get close to them, but higher resolutions use higher quality versions of the texture, making them opaque earlier.
- Workaround: Set Renderer to any of the "(Software)" options.
Image is slightly brighter in Hardware mode
- Status: Fixed
- Type: Minor
- Description: Most of the times when in-game (not in a menu), the Hardware render will be darker than the Software one, likely due to post processing.
- Workaround: Set Renderer to any of the "(Software)" options.
Fixed Issues
Blur is not as intensive in Hardware mode
- Type: Note (not an issue)
- Workaround: Set Renderer to any of the "(Software)" options.
Black Sky in GSdx Hardware Mode
- Status: Fixed
- Type: Minor
- Description: The sky is not rendered in GSdx Hardware mode.
- Workaround: In the car selection menu, press F9 to change the GSdx to software mode. When the race starts, press F9 again to change back to hardware mode. Fixed in 1.7
Vertical bars in multiplayer
- Status: Fixed
- Type: Serious
- Description: In multiplayer, bars of yellow obscure much of both split screens.
- Workaround: Fixed in recent PCSX2 1.5.0 dev builds, keep crc hack level on Automatic. For older builds go to Config > Video (GS) > Plugin Settings, click "Enable HW Hacks", go to Configure Hacks and set Skipdraw to 3. Or set the Renderer to any of the software modes. Possible alternative solution: Enable shade boost in GSdx settings, and set the 'Brightness' level to anything lower than 50 (49 works).
Purple Windows/Textures Under 16:9 Mode
- Status: Fixed
- Type: Minor
- Description: Bugged textures when booting the game via System->Boot CDVD (full).
- Workaround: This has been fixed in recent v1.5.0 git builds. For older versions use System->Boot CDVD (fast) instead of the full boot option.
Grey Lines Within Text
- Status: Fixed
- Type: Minor
- Affected Game Versions: All
- Description: Nearly all text has dark grey lines running inside each character.
- Workaround: This has been fixed in recent v1.5.0 git builds. For older versions use Software mode.
