Game description: The evil race of TimeSplitters is traveling back into human history authoring events that are leading to the enslavement of mankind. In control of a motley crew of renegade characters, you must hunt down the TimeSplitters in historical eras like the gangster-ridden 1920s, the lush jungles of Aztec temples, soviet military installations of the Cold War, and futuristic robot factories in space. To end their evil plot, seek and recover the crystals required to seal the rift in time.
TimeSplitters 2 is a first-person shooter that requires players to kill enemies and complete objectives using a variety of weapons and tactics in different predefined scenarios.
The main single player portion of TimeSplitters 2 is divided into ten levels. Each level is in a different time period and contains a series of objectives that must be completed. Some objectives are present at the start of the level, while others are added during play.
The game starts off in the year 2401 in the midst of a war between humanity and the TimeSplitters, an alien race bent on the destruction of mankind. However, rather than use brute force to destroy humanity, they are using the special objects called time crystals to travel through time changing the course of history, bringing Earth to ruin.

Known Issues
Four-player split screen overlay obscuring view.
- Status: Needs Retesting

- Description: In Hardware mode a four-player split screen layout is obscuring the view.
- Workaround: Go to Config - Video (GS) - Plugin Settings menu, click "Enable HW Hacks", go to "Configure Hacks" and set the Skipdraw to 3.
Lights shine through walls
- Status: Needs Retesting
- Type: Minor
- Description: Lights shine through walls in hardware modes.
- Workaround: As of GIT version v1.5.0-dev-548 of April 6th, 2016 this can be fixed by going to Config > Video (GS) > Plugin Settings, setting Renderer to "OpenGL (Hardware)" and enabling "Hardware Depth"(or in later version, making sure "Enable HW Hacks is disabled or the "Disable Depth Emulation" hack in Configure Hacks is disabled). For older versions switch to Software mode by setting Renderer to any of the "(Software)" options.
Fixed Issues
Sniper zoom bug
- Status: Fixed
- Type: Major
- Affected Game Versions: NTSC-U
- Description: The sniper rifle zoom is not rendered correctly in any GSdx hardware mode. The color is wrong and the peripheral blur is glitched.
- Workaround: Update to the latest nightly version of PCSX2.
