Game description: The Simpsons Game features a hilarious, sprawling, and mind-busting storyline crafted by the TV show's Emmy Award-winning writers. The action-comedy also features the full cast of voice actors from the TV show who reprise their roles for the game. In The Simpsons Game, Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa use exciting, all-new powers to save the world from rising chaos.
The game follows the five Simpson family members—Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie (with Marge)—who learn they are part of a video game and are given superpowers to resolve several situations. Eventually, they must save their 8-bit predecessors from Will Wright, and the creator of their video game character selves, Matt Groening. The Simpson family travels to four scenarios in parodies of other games to collect key cards used to infiltrate their creator's mansion and ultimately to save their predecessors from destruction.

Known Issues
Static noise
- Status: Needs Retesting
- Type: Minor
- Description: A static noise can be constantly heard during gameplay.
- Workaround: Go to Config > Audio (SPU2) > Plugin Settings, and set Module to "4 - Portaudio". If this does not fix the issue, download the old SPU2-X v1.2 audio plugin here, and use that instead of the latest SPU2-X plugin.
Non-Issues
Missing Cell shading when upscaling
- Type: Not an issue
- Description: The black cell shading outlines are either not present or out of alignment when upscaling.
- Workaround: Go to Config > Video (GS) > Plugin Settings, set Renderer to "OpenGL (Hardware)", click "Enable HW Hacks", go to Advanced Settings and Hacks, and set Half-Pixel Offset to "Special(Texture)". Optionally enable the "Wild Arms Offset" hack to make the outlines thinner.
