Game description: The city is at risk and only you can save it from the evil clutches of an old enemy: the powerful Electro. He has a mysterious new device that makes his million volts of destruction even deadlier. But now Spider-Man has Insulated Armor which makes him impervious to electricity in addition to new powers such as Ice and Taser-Webbing. With your new bag of tricks you can stop Electro, Sandman and other villains' nefarious schemes to bring the city to its knees.
Spider-Man 2 is the name of various action games based loosely on the Spider-Man 2 film. They are follow-ups of the game Spider-Man: The Movie, and the series is followed by Spider-Man 3. These games were published by Activision for many different systems in 2004.
The game is an adaptation of the film Spider-Man 2. The GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions of the game developed by Activision's Treyarch studio allow the player to freely roam around Manhattan, Roosevelt, Ellis and Liberty Islands. The home console versions were also innovative in that physics-based algorithms simulated Spider-Man's web swinging in three dimensions, creating a new game mechanic unlike the traditional jumping or flying of previous Spider-Man games.

Need to use software renderer to prevent glitches, hardware mode has severe glitches including missing overlays and flickering/missing textures. Also has out of memory issues which deletes state saves if played for too long, may require exiting emulator frequently. | Zeta1 |

Hardware mode is filled with missing and flickering textures, so you'll need to use software mode. The game also eats up RAM, leading to GSdx out of memory texturing issues followed by a CTD. For this, you'll have to manually patch PCSX2 to use up to 4 GB of RAM using something like NTCore or CFF Explorer. Finally, the game slowed down quite often for me without mVU Flag Hack, MTVU, and EE Cyclerate set at 2 along with the other standard speedhacks. Once all of that is done, the game stayed at a consistent 60 FPS without any crashes. | Zanzkebar |

Using software rendering, the game ran well and controlled fine. In hardware mode, can confirm the reported issues. | GamerLeFay |

Missing or flickering textures with the hardware renderer. Runs fine with the software renderer. With mipmapping on, it seems to crash every 2 hours.
