I think the info on this page about needing an intel CPU to run this game at 60fps is outdated. I can get it running at 60fps with almost no slowdowns at all... it does get choppy in some places with the VU cycle stealing but that's about it. | |||
:Your CPU has an STR of 1506 (http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?id=1780); seeing as how my i5-4670K which has an STR of 2200+ doesn't get this game running constantly at full speed (what PCSX2 calls 60 "FPS") without heavy cycle hacks, I seriously doubt your CPU can do it without cranking up the cycle hacks, which is NOT ideal. | |||
:I agree that the whole "AMD sucks for emulation, get Intel" is pretty silly, but there's no denying Intel CPUs have higher IPC performance than AMD CPUs.
