Game description: Official UK PlayStation 2 Magazine (often abbreviated to OPSM2) was launched in December 2000 as the sequel publication to the Official UK PlayStation Magazine to coincide with the launch of the PlayStation 2 console. It ran monthly for 100 issues (note that some numbering confusion occurred in issues 2 and 3), with the last issue out on August 2008. Each issue has cover-mounted playable demo DVD. Some issues vary between the countries (Germany has the highest number of unique issues, save for issues 1-10, 23, 44, 46, etc.). Until around February 2005 UK magazines were issued a month prior to European counterparts.

  • SCED-52052 contents:

    • Videos: Dot Hack, Driv3r, The Hobbit, The Making Of Forbidden Siren

Known Issues

Whiplash: Distorted textures

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: In Hardware Mode, mipmapping issues cause several object and character textures to appear distorted from a certain distance. This issue also happens with the full game.
  • Workaround: This can be resolved with the latest v1.5.0 git builds. Go to Config > Video(GS) > Plugin Settings, and set Mipmapping to "Basic". For older versions set Renderer to Software mode by selecting one of the "(Software)" options and check that Mipmapping is enabled. Press the insert key in-game to toggle mipmapping.

Urban Freestyle Soccer: Black trails

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: In Hardware Mode, characters and objects leave a black trail behind, leaving the screen darkened.
  • Workaround: Play in Software Mode.

Dot Hack trailer

  • Status: Active
  • Type: Minor
  • Description: The audio of the trailer has crackles every two seconds approximately.
  • Workaround: Unfixable for now.
