Underground completely rebooted the franchise, ignoring the previous Need for Speed games. It was the first game in the series to offer a career mode featuring a storyline, and a garage mode that allowed players to fully customize their cars with a large variety of brand-name performance and visual upgrades, as well as new game modes like 'Drifting' and 'Drag racing'.

|Comments=Fully tested from start to finish at 4k 60fps using OpenGL and 3-Balanced speedhack setting and runs really good and smooth. In some rare instances the fps would drop in certain areas of the game. To counteract this I used GPU Palette Conversion for a speedup. I also used Half-Pixel Offset: Special (Texture). A decent mid range to high end pc recommended for best experience.
|Comments=No noticeable bugs. Plays fine, framerate is solid.
